Every number on CloudyChef is computed the same way for every restaurant. Here is the exact math.
Reviewers score food, service, value, and ambience separately on a 1–10 scale. We never collect a single "overall star" — blended numbers hide weak kitchens behind pretty rooms.
Overall = food × 40% + service × 20% + value × 20% + ambience × 20%. The weighting is fixed, public, and identical for every listing.
Scores are live averages of verified reviews — no decay curves, no editorial adjustment, no paid boosts. When a new review lands, the score moves immediately.
The Trending list ranks restaurants by how much their overall score moved in the last 30 days. Ad spend, Premium subscriptions, and listing age have zero effect.
Only verified-visit reviews count toward scores. Unverified drafts and removed reviews are excluded from all math.
